    CHENEY Phonograph Reproducer Pathe Sapphire Stylus. For sale is an estate-found phonograph reproducer marked CHENEY REPRODUCER PTD FEB 8-16. The Cheney Talking Machine Co. was founded in 1914, and had quite the rivalry against the Victor company. Each Cheney Talking Machine phonograph came with 2 reproducers, one for lateral 78rpm discs, and the other for vertical-cut discs. Included is a vertical sapphire stylus, which was found with these reproducers.
